CHILEAN HIGHER EDUCATION IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE IN THE WORLD!!!

From Buenos Aires, Argentina, in a interview by Diario 12, the economist and docent Marcel Claude, explained that the Chilean higher education is the most expensive in the world.

All the chilean education is ordered by a logic of profit, this is the main point. The world Bank noted that when a student gets a degree and comes into the laboral market, this carries a debt equivalent to a 174% of one's yearly wage. That's a madness. Although a student works all whole year long, all the wage the student earn has to be laid on the bank. It's estimated that each student get the degree does it with a debt whose average is about US$ 40 thousands, he replied.

He added that rich people study in the best universities and poor people do in the worst conditions, this is what the society unequality grows with they are born with. 40% of students who drop out their studies gets a debt and no degree. And people who don't, the 60% don't work what they studied. This is the bad and hard amount ever in the chilean education.

He highlighted that 60% of chileans live with a wage average less that a country like Angola and that in front of this context, the people takes awareness of the situation and it's waking up. It has to constitute a public system where the education is a right ensured by the State. Chile has the resources to do that. He emphatized.
