LOAN N°1: FONDO SOLIDARIO

FSCU, Fondo Solidario Crédito Universitario (Solidary-fund loan)

Who gets this loan?
Students who wants to study a career in a Public University

How does this loan lay? (and the student must pay off after got degree)
This loan lays US$ 240 monthly payment, or totality if the student accesses to an appeal (see more below)
EG: Monthly payment of a career a student studies costs US$394 montlhy, if this student gets this loan, the career would cost US$ 154 per monthly paymeny (394-240=154), but the student has to pay all coverage off back when getting degree and/or ending the study.

What are requirements?
- Chilean nationality
- 12th grade taken entirely
- 475 PSU Score (Average PSUs Languaje and Math) or upper
- register as a student in a Public University

What's an appeal?
An appeal is a non agree respect the coverage this loan lays and the student need the coverage of totality of all monthly payments

Who can acess to an appeal?
Students who:
  • whose parent (home-boss) is unemployed or died within last 3 months
  • have one member of one's family group who has an ill non-covered by the AUGE (Chilean health system)
  • have another sibling or another member of one's family group who studies in the higher education too
Does it have to be renewed?
Yes, the renewing is yearly and requirements are:
- Keep studying at the same university and career where this grant were assigned
- Have got approved at least 70% of all carrer's subjects

But not all is in pink, What to do getting the degree?
The student who got this loan, and ending one's degree, has to pay it back off with a extra yearly rate of 2%.
